I hope everybody has a good week! I had a crazy busy week last week so I am hoping to keep it relaxed this week. I don't have too much planned--the usual workouts and volunteering with a doctors appt thrown in for good measure. The biggest thing is the MS walk on Sunday at 8 am--yikes so early. There is a big group of us walking together and Tina's boyfriend is pushing her in her wheelchair. Gwen is going to hang with me so I have somebody to walk back with when I poop out. I am going to see how far I get---supposedly they have vehicles to get us when we give up. I think the course is 4 miles--not sure how many on my team will make it. We are walking from UW stadium to Gas Works park in Fremont. Should be fun and of course it's a great cause!!
I am going to sleep now--more later!

Hello!
I spent the day at Kexp today. It was slow since most of our staff is in Austin,Tx for South by Southwest. This is a huge music and film festival with indie music and indie films. There are lots of cool panels and shows. My station is broadcasting live from Austin every day this week. They are having bands come in everyday to play on the air. Sounds like a blast!
This kid from Kansas came in today. He grew up in Salina--we had a laugh about that. He was impressed with my vast knowledge of Kansas. He is in school in Kansas City--sounded like a small college.
I gave he and his friend from Seattle that he met online a tour of the studio. He listens to Kexp online in Kansas and loves the station.
After I showed them around the music library and the dj booth--I asked them what they thought---they replied that they were speechless. The kid from Kansas had tons of questions about dj'ing so I hooked him up with my friend Rachel who dj's. Of course they were so nervous and wouldn't say a word. I don't know if it was because she was a dj or a girl--so cute.
Tonight I watched Lost---an amazing show and my favorite. Now I am checking out Letterman--he has Modest Mouse on tonight!!
Tomorrow I am going to run errands and get coffee--I am trying to round up somebody with the day off. Thanks to sweet Maurine I have a gift card for Starbucks to entice them. If nobody is free I am able to entertain myself and that means more coffee for me!

Friday

Happy Friday to everybody!!! Not too much going on with me. I volunteered yesterday at Kexp and today I relaxed. Tomorrow I hit the gym in the morning. My friend Muffy was in the hospital last week so I am hoping she is feeling better and back in class tomorrow.
I saw The Watchmen last week with Jim and Kat--great movie. Jim is a big fan of the Watchmen comics so he was really psyched to see it.
I hung out with my friend Bob on Tuesday. I was running errands and he met me for coffee. It was nice to catch up with him.
I still haven't talked to Dad--but will keep trying. He did send me an email so I know he is ok. Rick is getting him a new phone--cordless with an answering machine. Dad gave him the model number--I checked it out online and it looks great. Since Dad spends alot of time in the outer room--he can't hear the phone.
Here is a picture from the summer with my friends Melissa and Shannon.
Have a great weekend!!!

Monday

Ok Chris--I am updating my blog. Thanks for reading it! I hope your back is doing better--great news about returning to basketball soon. You should also check out accupuncture and massage therapy. Some insurance plans cover this and I have found they really help to loosen up the muscles. My doctors always recommend massages for my neck and shoulder muscles--I tend to get huge knots in my neck. It's been awhile and I am long overdue. I keep suggesting massage therapy for our rehab class but am not getting anywhere with that. They are talking about getting a wii for us. That would be so fun!
We are having our pledge drive at the radio station this week so I'm looking forward to free food on Wednesday. They always get tons of food donated. Usually pizza and lots of snacks--cupcakes,fruit, candy, and sodas. Also lots of coffee. I will be manning the front desk as usual and will be helping organize all the volunteers that come in on Wednesday. It is usually quite chaotic--but always fun.
I am including a picture of my workout friends that one of the girls emailed me. These are the girls that I hang out with twice a week at rehab. Joanne did end up going home to Oregon until she gets the call for her transplant. It was getting quite expensive so she is going home and will take a private plane when she gets the call. She is the one in the purple sweater. The other lady is Muffy--she is my favorite person there. She is from Wyoming and got her lung in November. She will be around for a couple more months and then she gets to go home. She has been here for almost 2 years waiting and recovering. I plan to visit her at her ranch in Wyoming at some point down the road. They have been so supportive and fun to work out with.
Ok--I am off to sleep!
